Mark Madden

I traveled internationally and interfaced with the United States Department of State, Department of Defense, CEOs and Presidents of large international aerospace companies. As a Project Manager, I have the ability to negotiate large complex contracts, run effective meetings, facilitate discussions, manage expectations and track project completion outcomes. 

Prior to that experience, I managed facility service and construction contracts. This included national contracts for security services, janitorial, facility management and food services. All this experience is directly related to the business of our HOA. I have over 40 years experience in supply chain management and hold a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and a Masters of Science from the University of San Diego in supply chain management. I earned a 3.9 / 4.0 in my Master’s Program and delivered our graduation commencement speech.

While I have no prior HOA experience, I had no experience in any of my work assignments but I handled excellently and completed projects on time and under budget.  

Our current Board of Directors did an outstanding job of maintaining our current HOA dues in a volatile time of high inflation, high insurance premiums, new legislative changes and increases in labor and materials.  This has resulted in lowered services levels by our HOA Management team and the subcontractor handling security. 

The truth is that HOA dues have increased in Orlando by 16.7% and close of 70% of HOA reserves are underfunded. Bellalago/Isles of Bellalago residents must be surveyed to determine if they want to pay for increased service levels or pay current level HOA fees for less service.

My Commitments:

• I am committed to being truthful, open and honest if elected. This includes moving that every HOA Board Member sign an Anti-Gratuity/ Kickback Certification.  This is similar to what every government employee signs who has fiduciary responsibilities and supplier interface.  
• I am further committed to working closely with our Legal Counsel in our dealings with Taylor Morrison.
• I am committed to effectively running meetings that remain professional and on subject and on-time.  
• I am further committed to protecting our business partners business data as I would my own. 
• I am committed to open communications and referring people to the correct point of contacts for their concerns.
